Five Day workshop designed to provide a comprehensive overview and guidance on the establishment of incident and emergency response arrangements which integrate with an organizations governance and risk management arrangements.

“A crisis is an inherently abnormal, unstable and complex situation that represents a threat to the strategic objectives, reputation or existence of an organization”.

This five-day workshop explains the linkages between risk, continuity, emergency response and crisis. It includes practical sessions and has been constructed in a modular format. There has been a significant growth in recent years in guidance and standards relating to the way organisations manage and respond to incidents and emergencies.

The workshop allows participants to explore the relationships between site demands for mitigation and response and the business and organisational risk factors that add complexity of planning for and implementing response arrangements. It will address the invocation of response arrangements from the day to day operational and strategic control of work through to the major events which can stretch companies and national response organisations.

The workshop is designed around case studies and examples, with delegate participation in short exercises. The core of the material relating to business vulnerability and risk is taken from the ISO standards and related documentation, which will be supported, by case studies and exercise.
